You can make a decision one day and then the next day consider it in a new way and adjust your decision.
YOU ARE NOT CONFINED TO THE DECISIONS YOU MAKE TODAY.
I see many women immobilized by the fear of getting something wrong, as if they can’t just turn around and change course tomorrow.
You want to stay home with your baby while their young? Great! Do it. After a year you decide it’s not for you? No problem, go back into the workforce.
You want to change jobs, so you start applying. You go through the entire interview process, only to decide it is not quite time to leave your company. No problem, just decline the job offer.
It’s time to start sleep training your baby. You try it for two nights but the crying is overwhelming and so you decide to delay sleep training a few months. No problem, sounds like a good move.
You can only ever make decisions based on the information you have TODAY.
Tomorrow you may have new information (that could be actual data or just a new perspective) and so you adjust.
It is not failure if you make a new decision based on new information.
And the best way to get new information is to DECIDE.
Decide --> implement --> get new information --> decide based on new information --> implement --> get new information.
This is a normal decision-making cycle.
Decide and adjust.
Adjusting decisions is normal.
